TAR UMT supports gender equality by promoting women’s empowerment, leadership development, and inclusive participation across education, professional pathways, and community engagement. Through talks, forums, and outreach programmes, the university creates platforms that raise awareness of gender issues, encourage equitable opportunities, and foster safe and inclusive environments for women. These efforts reflect TAR UMT’s commitment to advancing women’s roles in academia, the workforce, and society.

Empowering Women through Leadership, Professional Pathways, and Entrepreneurship
Empowering Women through Leadership, Professional Pathways, and Entrepreneurship
TAR UMT advanced gender equality through a series of initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, leadership, and professional development. These included a professional sharing session by a Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) Registration Committee member to guide and encourage female students pursuing careers in quantity surveying. In 2024, the university further strengthened its outreach through Women Entrepreneurship Day at the Penang campus and participation in international women-focused conferences in Sabah, providing platforms for women to gain entrepreneurial skills, engage in dialogue with global advocates, and explore opportunities for socio-economic empowerment.
