TAR UMT advances SDG 4 by expanding access to inclusive, equitable, and quality education beyond the university campus. Through educational outreach, knowledge transfer programmes, and community partnerships, the university supports lifelong learning opportunities for school students, underserved communities, and marginalised groups. These initiatives reflect TAR UMT’s commitment to using education as a tool for empowerment, social mobility, and sustainable development.

TAR UMT TAR UMT actively advances quality education through community-based educational outreach programmes that engage schools, refugees, and the wider public. From hands-on science and business workshops benefiting 244 secondary school students in Perak, to student-led teaching initiatives supporting English and Mathematics learning among primary school pupils, these programmes enhance learning through interactive and experiential approaches. In 2024, TAR UMT further expanded access to education by delivering free English language classes to Somali refugee women and partnering with NGOs such as the ASEAN Foundation to provide public workshops under the ASEAN Data Science Explorer programme, extending lifelong learning opportunities to marginalised communities nationwide.
