Advancing Climate Awareness and Carbon Reduction
As part of its commitment to climate action, TAR UMT actively promotes tree planting initiatives as a nature-based solution to mitigate climate change. Across multiple campuses and community locations, students and staff have participated in tree planting programmes aimed at enhancing green cover, improving local ecosystems, and supporting long-term carbon sequestration. These activities not only contribute to reducing carbon emissions and mitigating urban heat effects, but also serve as experiential learning opportunities that raise awareness on biodiversity conservation and climate resilience. By engaging the university community in hands-on environmental action, TAR UMT reinforces the role of collective responsibility in addressing climate change.
